The Aftermath: Hurricane Irene
Written by dabapa

iren

The aftermath of Hurricane Irene here in New Jersey, particularly to its coastline and floodplains areas near rivers is overwhelmingly disastrous and devastative to say the least. While majority of us Masantolenos here were lucky enough to sustained minor damages to our properties (or even more thankful to be unscathed and unhurt), a few were not as lucky. some Cabalens are still very much thankful to God that their family is safe and unhurt. Undoubtedly, it will take time for some Cabalens to rebuild, reorganized, and have the same normal life back again. What do you do and say to someone  having this kind of crisis? Well, for one, reach out, know you're there with your comforting words of (moral) support, and of course say a prayer for them for a quick recovery in the nearest possible time.
I cannot think of any other people who are more resilient than the Filipinos, particularly us, Masantolenos  !
